New York State DMV to Unveil Long Island Regional License Plate

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Commissioner, Mark J.F. Schroeder, will unveil a new Long Island regional license plate today. This unveiling is part of an introduction of new special plates for all 10 regions across New York State.

The unveiling will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Bethpage DMV Office, located at 4031 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY 11714.

The launch of the regional plates highlights the state's recognition of the unique identities and characteristics of its regions. Residents can show their regional pride and help fund state initiatives through their purchase.

Commissioner Schroeder will be present to reveal the design and provide additional information about the initiative during the unveiling event.
